Hello, dear readers,
How are you? How is your February going so far? I’ve started this year with a new idea—which I’ll tell you about in a minute—and all this time I’ve been working on a new project.
But first, I want to share something. After I finished Hot Chocolate, I realized how much I missed Kieran and Samantha and remembered how much fun I had writing my first romance novel, Vertigo. So I decided to check on them and see what they’ve been up to some time after the events of Vertigo. And like that, I present to you Mellilla, a short story (pretty steamy), which will be available this Valentine’s Day!
Even though when I started Vertigo I didn’t envision it as part of a series, there were certain side characters (hello, Patt, and also Ava, Samantha’s friends) whose stories I wanted to tell. So Vertigo became the first book in the Swoon Me series, a series of interconnected standalones. Patt’s and Ava’s stories are still waiting to be shared (although you can catch a snippet of Ava’s in Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows). In Mellilla, I also introduce the main characters of the next full-length novel in the series. You might even recognize a little glimpse of their first meeting if you read my Christmas anthology.
Allegro is about music, passion, and a lead singer of an alt-rock band paired with a replacement drummer. They’re stuck together on a three-month national tour, and things are going to get messy—and oh, so steamy.
The book is available for preorder and will be released on April 9th, 2026. If you’re curious about how Sam and Kieran end up meeting these two, Mellilla has all the answers. You can even read the first two chapters of Allegro in Mellilla, so enjoy!
